The role:
At Clarins, we are committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences and achieving ambitious growth through our retail excellence. As the Sales Director, you will be responsible for defining and executing the retail strategy across our Clarins stores and department store counters in Taiwan, driving commercial results, customer satisfaction, and team performance.
What you’ll do:
Retail Strategy & Performance
- Lead and implement the national retail strategy in alignment with the brand’s global vision and local business goals.
- Define and drive sales targets, retail KPIs, and productivity metrics across all channels and doors.
- Identify and implement business development opportunities to accelerate growth in Taiwan’s retail market.
People Leadership
- Inspire and lead a team of area managers, counter managers, and frontline retail teams across Taiwan.
- Foster a high-performance and customer-centric culture through coaching, training, and performance management.
- Lead workforce planning, succession development, and talent retention strategies.
Customer Experience
- Ensure retail teams deliver outstanding service aligned with the Clarins customer journey and values.
- Partner with Training and CRM teams to deliver personalized experiences, beauty consultations, and loyalty-building programs.
Retail Operations & Excellence
- Oversee retail operations, including scheduling, stock management, store presentation, and visual merchandising execution.
- Drive compliance to operational standards, policies, and health & safety regulations.
- Collaborate with HQ teams to support new store openings, renovations, and retail innovation projects.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing, CRM, Training, and Supply Chain to ensure 360° retail activation and alignment.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on market trends, competitor analysis, and customer feedback.
What you have:
- Experience & Leadership: Over 10 years of experience in premium beauty, fashion, or retail, with a proven track-record in leading large teams and managing multi-site retail networks.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong business acumen with the ability to translate strategy into actionable plans.
- People Management: A leader who inspires, coaches, and drives results through collaboration and empowerment.
- Customer-Centric Approach: Deep understanding of customer needs, service excellence, and local consumer behavior.
- Market Knowledge: Familiarity with Taiwan’s retail and department store landscape is essential. Fluent in Mandarin and English.
