This part-time role (2-3 days per week) is responsible for overseeing the payroll function for Clarins Group in Australia and New Zealand. This includes overseeing the outsourced payroll processing (performed by Micropay) and completing all relevant compliance and reporting. This role owns the time and attendance software, including its updates and training others on how to best use the system. The payroll officer will have up-to-date knowledge of the General Retail Award to execute its regular changes.

 

  • Liaise with Micropay (outsourced payroll providers) to ensure our employees are paid on time and accurately. Providing them with any relevant feedback, requests or information.
  • Maintain, revise and authorise timesheets in our time and attendance software (Human Force)
  • Be the first point of contact for all employees (field and office) for all payroll related queries. Act as the conduit between employees and Micropay.
  • Maintain pay records and files, ensuring records are accurate and current
  • Ensure our payroll is compliant with any awards and Enterprise Agreements
  • Process worker's compensation claims
  • Control the payment and reconciliation of payroll tax, group tax, Kiwisaver, work cover premiums, insurance, and superannuation payments into our Super Clearing House.
  • Provide payroll information to management for budgets and special projects
  • Liaise with the HR Department to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Preparation of monthly reports
  • Reviewing processes and suggesting improvements
  • Participate in payroll related projects e.g. integrations or system upgrades
  • Maintain and coordinate the Employee Product Allowance program
