About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Retail Business Manager to lead our Boutique and the Sephora Pitt St store in the Sydney CBD. In this role you will drive the success of Clarins flagship standalone Boutique and our presence in Sephora.
As our Retail Business Manager, you will take on a pivotal role overseeing the performance, operations, and commercial success of the QVB Boutique and the Sydney Sephora location. Reporting directly to the Sales Director of Clarins ANZ, you'll act as a key driver of business development and support the team to deliver retail excellence.
You will be hands-on in the Boutique, contributing to day-to-day success, sales and operations while also focusing on long-term success. Your leadership will be instrumental as we look to expand our Boutique footprint across Australia in the years to come.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the key account manager for Sephora – managing all operations for Clarins.
- Educate Sephora team members on our products, to ensure our success in this channel.
- Oversee the QVB Boutique's end-to-end operations, ensuring excellence in customer service, sales performance, and store presentation
- Be responsible for the store results, including sales and customer relationship KPIs
- Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team, including rostering, budgeting and recruitment
- Drive business growth through local area marketing, community engagement, and commercial insights
- Oversee operational functions including stock and inventory control, POS, cash handling, and compliance
- Contribute to a premium customer experience in demonstrating best in class beauty services.
- Report directly to the Sales Director ANZ, providing strategic feedback and insights, be agile and demonstrate retail disciplines.
- Support the execution of brand events, service activations, and customer experience initiatives
- Maintain Clarins' high standards of service, product knowledge, and Boutique aesthetics
- Support in the onboarding and development of the Visiting Beauty Coaches for NSW, using our Flagship boutique as home base.
About You
- Proven experience in retail or business management within beauty, skincare, luxury, or premium retail.
- Minimum of 2 years multi-site management experience
- Results driven with proven success in driving commercial outcomes (KPIs) and building team capability
- Strong operational know-how: POS, stock control, reporting, and compliance
- Confident leader who thrives on collaboration, coaching, and hands-on support
- Passionate about customer experience, service standards, and team development
- Ideally qualified as a Makeup Artist and/or Beauty Therapist
- A proactive, energetic individual who sees opportunity and drives results
