We are looking for a Paid Media Specialist based in Sydney, Australia. 

 

 

The Paid Media Specialist is responsible for overseeing and contributing to the day-to-day management and optimisation of Paid Media channels through assisting with planning, executing strategic vision and direction of the local Ecommerce and wider national Clarins strategy across Australia and New Zealand. The Paid Media Specialist is responsible for suggesting ways to increase performance metrics for existing and new campaigns; namely ROAS, conversion rates, traffic and opt-ins and other KPIs such as Reach and Awareness.

 

The Paid Media Specialist is responsible for executing performance-driven online marketing campaigns that drive traffic and generate sales. This role is responsible for executing launches through digital paid channels, new marketing and promotional initiatives set by the Head of Digital & Ecommerce and track ongoing success of the platforms, reporting back on performance, in collaboration with Clarins local Digital Performance Media agency.

 

This role will work across various teams and external stakeholders (offline marketing, CRM, Digital, plus Regional team and external agencies) and will execute ad strategies that takes that engagement to the next level by understanding the needs and expectation of the online, multi-channel and offline consumer.

 

Area of Responsibilities

  • Execute the paid media strategy set by the Head of Digital & Ecommerce through effective campaigns and media planning
  • Collaborate with external digital marketing stakeholders to execute innovative and effective paid media campaigns, promotional advertising, and campaigns aimed at increasing exposure, engagement, and eCommerce sales for the Clarins brand.
  • Identify optimisation opportunities for digital marketing performance and implement engaging campaigns to drive local consumer acquisition and conversion.
  • Support eCommerce and Brand initiatives in collaboration with the Head of Ecommerce & Digital, maximizing launch and promotional opportunities.
  • Execute digital content programs in coordination with eCommerce, Digital, creative, and content departments/agencies for utilization across online channels.
  • Oversee paid media campaigns to enhance reach, generate impressions, and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Drive the external digital marketing agency to meet KPIs, streamline budgets, and accurately reflect strategy in campaigns.
  • Ensure digital marketing campaigns align with the Clarins brand tone of voice.
  • Promote Clarins brand values through ads, amplifying CSR activations.
  • Monitor and quantify the success and efficiency of digital promotions, paid media campaigns, and social engagement using analytical tools and reporting.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of digital marketing strategies and provide suggestions for maximizing current and future campaigns based on data analysis.
  • Identify digital trends, new technologies, and online behaviours to create innovative digital opportunities and solutions.
  • Deliver comprehensive reporting on all online activations, KPIs, revenue, budgeting, and promotional mechanisms.
  • Assist with planning and execution for Earned & Owned Media where possible, and assist with PR outposts, in collaboration with the Digital Specialist & Communications Executive.
  • Ensure Paid Media channels are synonymous with CRM, Website, Earned & Owned media channel focuses.
  • Submit comprehensive Always On & Paid Media campaign reporting on a Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Annual basis.
  • In collaboration with the external Digital Marketing agency and the Head of Ecommerce & Digital, report on Paid Media spend on a weekly basis, and ensure budgets are aligned with platform allocations.
  • Ensure accurate Paid Media reporting and full-funnel consideration across all paid channels
  • Collaborate with Regional team to execute paid media channel updates, new tools, reporting and APAC-wide strategies

 

Education/Degree: 

  • Degree qualified in eCommerce, Marketing and /or Business (preferred)

 

Background including total years of experience:

  • At least 3 years of digital marketing experience, preferably with an agency background

 

Essential Skills:

  • Prior experience with Meta, Google and Digital Marketing analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of paid media performance KPIs and optimisations.
  • Proven track record of developing ad campaigns to support launches and drive revenue.
  • Creative, self-starter with exceptional follow-up skills.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Passion for online sales, putting the customer at the centre of everything that you do.
  • Good organisation and time management skills.
  • Shows initiative with the ability to work autonomously but also able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop and improve processes in a new and developing area of the business.
  • Strong financial acumen.

Digital Marketing Skills:

  • Solid understanding of Digital Marketing platforms – Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest
  • Entrepreneur attitude, self-starter and strategic thinker
  • Experience with A/B and multi-variant testing (preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word at an intermediate level
  • An understanding of customer purchase behaviours; how to influence customers, drive conversion and recommend paid media improvements.
  • Proven ability to capture and collate data in a presentable and useful way, ability to draw insights and make recommendations and implement changes to online store to maximise sales, conversion rate, average order value
