About the Job

Working alongside the Regional IT Team, the IT Specialist will provide day-to-day assistance and troubleshooting for end users and oversee all IT infrastructure to support smooth business operations in accordance with company policies, and local data privacy and protection laws. The IT Specialist will also play a key role in coordinating regional and central-driven initiatives in line with Clarins’ strategic roadmap. 

 

Location: Sydney CBD (hybrid)

Reporting To: APAC IT Director

 

What you’ll be doing

  • End-User Support & Troubleshooting, providing day-to-day support to staff to resolve common IT issues, actioning basic software installation/updates, and providing local application support
  • Overseeing all IT Hardware and Infrastructure, ensuring devices are operational and tracked, and maintaining security of local server rooms
  • Liaising with regional and global IT teams to escalate issues requiring additional support
  • Security, Compliance & Governance: ensuring antivirus, patching, and device encryption are in place and in compliance with Australian privacy laws, and company cybersecurity policies
  • Vendor & MSP Management: managing local IT vendors (e.g., internet service providers, hardware suppliers, copier/printer maintenance) and negotiating procurement within budget
  • IT Budget & Procurement: forecasting and managing local IT operational expenses, maintaining asset lifecycle plans, and coordinating procurement when required.
  • Project Management: coordinating local rollout of regional/central initiatives, and acting as a point of contact for pilot testing, UAT etc.
  • IT Strategy & Roadmap: ensuring local IT decisions (i.e., suppliers, vendors, tools etc.) are aligned with corporate standards and strategic roadmap

 

About you: 

Essential experience:

  • Experience in providing day-to-day end-user support
  • Experience in managing IT infrastructure, including ongoing software and hardware requirements, device imaging & configuration, and inventory monitoring

 

Essential soft skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with a range of stakeholders, including end users, regional IT teams, and external vendors/suppliers
  • Developed analytical and problem-solving skills

 

Technical Requirements:

  • Highly proficient in use and troubleshooting of Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, etc.)
  • Advanced skills in providing end-user support and troubleshooting for Windows and iOS devices (laptops and mobile devices)
  • Experience using ticketing systems such as Landesk and Jira.
  • Experience working with BI & Reporting tools
  • Familiar with ITIL and COBIT
