Do you want to help write the next chapter of our story? We are looking for a Regional Store Design Assistant Manager/ Manager, Asia Pacific based in Singapore.

 

 

THE ROLE:

 

Store openings, renovations and retrofits

  • Contribute and facilitate project discussions with relevant Regional A&M team members, Global and Local Market to maintain a collaborative and co-developing approach to design.
  • Collaborate closely with Local Markets to maintain sensibility on each of their local business and operational needs, understand users’ (BAs) feedback to assess relevancy and pragmatism of design.
  • Generate zoning layout and 3D Sketch Up model as mode of communication and reference for Local Market to further develop technical packages with their appointed contractor.
  • Manage project timeline with timely response, respecting Local Market’s execution retroplan
  • Ensure correct design details are used by Local Market teams for consistency in design across APAC.
  • Follow-up with Local Market and/or Shopfitters on the development and construction of projects paying close attention to design, timing of delivery and quality.
  • Provide guidance on correct material usage or FF&E samples that are locally obtainable matched to Global Store Design Guideline, where necessary.
  • Open, clear written and oral communication with Local Markets on processes and development of projects, updating or revising as necessary.

 

APAC design development and strategic projects

  • Identify opportunities for APAC-specific initiatives, adaptation of Global design guidelines to improve store experience, ergonomics and operational efficiency, where necessary.
  • Collaborate with external functional stakeholders to trial prototypes and concepts.
  • Produce design intent drawings and/or 3D Sketch Up models with detail adaptation from Global assets for communication to Local Market or Shopfitters.

 

Regional chair production offering

  • Manage regional chair ordering cycles of 2x per annum by maintaining timely market ordering and production schedule.
  • Develop next generation chair design to improve and renew offering, when necessary.

 

Cost optimization

  • Collaborate with Regional Procurement for material cost negotiations and potential mass production opportunities.
  • Provide support to Local Market and Procurement on project tenders, when necessary.

 

Travel whenever necessary and required. Other responsibilities may be added to the above for the position Regional Store Design Manager/Assistant Manager, Asia Pacific.
 

YOU HAVE:

 

Diploma/ Degree, specialising in Interior Design/ Architecture, Industrial Design or relevant background

At least 8 years experience in designing for retail spaces, with a strong knowledge for merchandising

Good proficiency in Sketch-Up is a must. Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks, and Adobe Suite (llustrator) is a plus

Strong project management, where strong communication skill is key 

Able to work with different markets that have diverse cultural and business needs

Adaptive, agile in scaling Regional support depending on markets’ competency and requirements

Able to work independently, and is a strong team-player
