We are looking for a Finance Analyst to work in the Travel Retail team.

 

 

About the Job

 

Together with Business Control Director, drive the Finance function to perfection across multiple aspects by constantly adapting processes to the evolving environment and requirements, innovating and keeping in view all the latest market innovation and trends in regards of the Finance function.

 

This role supports Director, Business Control – Travel Retail Asia Pacific in the areas of Management Reporting & Financial Analysis, Commercial Finance Business Partnering, Financial Planning (Budgeting & Forecasting), P&L Control, Itemised Sell Out Data Management, Finance Operations, Governance and Projects.

 

However, as a start, this role will be focusing more on these key areas,

 

  • Finance Operations Subject Matter Expert which includes Accruals, P&L-related matters such as Processing Returns, Tracking Sell-Thru, Payments & Billings Issues Resolution, Credit Limit Setting, Attending to Audit matters, etc.
  • Commercial Finance Business Partner to TR APAC team (Commercial, Marketing, Architecture & Merchansiding, Sales Admin, Training), providing necessary support from finance point of view especially in the area of sell-out and sell-in.
  • Commercial Data Upload into relevant internal and external systems such as billing price implementation, sell-out data upload and reporting, etc.
  • Governance covering internal control framework implementation and rolling out commercial contracts review across TR APAC regions, etc.
  • Process Improvements and Projects as identified and assigned. Continues challenging the status quo and strives for improvements.
  • Support to Director, Business Control – Travel Retail Asia Pacific includes but not limited to areas of Reporting & Analysis, Financial Planning and P&L Control.

This role is expected to perform the roles or lead initiatives independently and confidently with guidance from Director, Business Control – Travel Retail Asia Pacific and Financial Controlling Director, GTR.

 

About you:

 

Education/Degree:

  • Finance-related degree, functionally and technically skilled with an-all rounded business/ commercial understanding and acumen

 

Background including total years of experience:

  • Experience in Finance functions covering regional role for sizable companies preferably specialized in the beauty, retail, duty free or FMCG industry ideally in the APAC region
  • Experience in internal control, governance, commercial contract review is a plus

 

Technical skills:

  • Strong accounting knowledge
  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel (with complex formulas, Power Query)
  • Experienced in crafting professional/ business presentation for stakeholders and senior management on Power Point
  • Ability to work with large database
  • Experience in financial modelling
  • Have a good understanding of system flows in general
  • Show high productivity on computer usage

  • Display a high degree of responsibility, integrity, structured, attentive to details with an investigative nature, yet able to grasp the big picture quickly
  • Show an entrepreneurship mindset and challenge the existing seeking for continuous improvements
  • Capacity to lead projects with stakeholders from various expertise background and cultures
  • Ability to clearly explain financial concepts in lay terms for non-financial collaborators
  • Team Player, People, Communication and Leadership skills with an ability to influence management
  • Time management efficiency and capable of prioritizing, ability to balance the demands of work with study commitments
