We are looking for a Finance Executive (GL) , based in Singapore.  

 

Mission 1: Ensure Financial Integrity through GL Accounting & HFM Reporting

  • Manage General Ledger (GL) accounting and HFM reporting, which may include but not limited to bank, fixed assets, inventory, leases, contracts, payroll and local tax filings, ensuring that financial data is accurately and completely captured in a timely manner and in compliance with all stipulated deadlines and R2R KPIs;
  • Prepare and monitor the monthly accruals, provisions and adjustment journals for all business channels;
  • Reconcile and monitor the clearing / netting of GL accounts to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data;
  • Ensure that intercompany transactions are tracked and matched with intercompany partners (including but not limited to recharge invoices, settlements, payment on behalf, and accruals); and
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules and relevant reports for Manager’s review.

Mission 2: Support Process & System Efficiency as R2R Key User

  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders to address and resolve any blocking issues, ensuring that system interface problems and auto postings are properly integrated and fully resolved;
  • Support the APAC region by executing standardized best practices and assisting with system implementations;
  • Participate actively in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements, monitoring efficiency impacts, and supporting process improvement projects.

 

Mission 3: Ensure Full Regulatory Compliance & Operational Excellence

  • Stay updated on relevant accounting standards, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
  • Apply standardized accounting principles to daily workflows to maintain robust control standards.

 

Mission 4: Support Finance & Business Priorities

  • Collaborate closely with the Order-to-Cash (O2C) team to perform reconciliations for O2C-related Balance Sheet accounts
  • Assist the Manager in liaising with internal parties and external stakeholders (such as auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretaries) by preparing accurate schedules and documentation to ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Support internal teams on business initiatives, and ongoing finance priorities as assigned by the Manager

 

 

You Have:

  • Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of relevant GL/R2R accounting experience, preferably within FMCG, luxury retail, beauty or cosmetics.
  • Audit or professional accounting firm experience will be an advantage.
  • Good working knowledge of IFRS and basic corporate tax requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting systems such as Workday, HFM and Infor M3.
  • Good understanding of GL accounting, month-end closing, journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
