We are looking for a Category Planner, Asia Pacific to be based in Singapore.
About the Job
The APAC Category Planner is responsible for managing category forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities, coordinating with global and regional supply chain teams, and ensuring smooth execution of product launches and promotions.
This role also involves building strong relationships with internal stakeholders (supply chain) and external partners (marketing, finance, and commercial teams) to proactively assess and mitigate potential supply risks.
Product Life Cycle Management
- Lead the planning and coordination of regional new product launches, ensuring readiness across marketing, supply chain, and market teams.
- Monitor the post-launch performance for APAC region against sales and inventory targets, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
- Oversee regional PIPO transitions, ensuring smooth handover between outgoing and incoming SKUs across multiple markets.
- Drive regional EOL management by defining exit strategies, aligning with local markets, and executing reallocation, promotions, or clearance where necessary.
- Track and analyze forecast accuracy at a regional level, identifying key deviations and implementing corrective actions.
- Partner with regional marketing teams to assess the impact of promotions, events, and product lifecycle changes on demand forecasts.
Inventory Lifecycle Optimization
- Optimize inventory flow across the product lifecycle to minimize excess and obsolescence in the regional Hub and local DCs.
- Partner with regional demand and supply planning teams to ensure accurate run-down strategies, allocations, and stock prioritization across APAC markets.
- Monitor portfolio health, identify slow movers, supply risks, and opportunities for improvement, and provide actionable insights to maximize availability while minimizing financial exposure.
- Assess stock availability at the APAC Hub and markets, proactively reallocating inventory and addressing imbalances.
- Collaborate with global, regional, and local teams to ensure supply continuity, communicate urgent needs, and escalate critical issues impacting business performance.
- Analyze supply trends, identify potential bottlenecks, and propose solutions to mitigate disruptions and inefficiencies.
Master Data Management
- Create and maintain accurate product master data in systems for New Launch / EOL / PIPO
- Coordinate with regional PMD for SKU creation and updates.
- Support reporting tools (BI dashboards, planning systems) with correct master data setup.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the key liaison between local markets and the regional/global supply teams, ensuring seamless communication and execution of planning strategies (EOL / PIPO / WCT).
- Facilitate regional S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) discussions, providing demand and supply insights to support decision-making.
- Provide regular reporting on demand and supply performance, highlighting key risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing, finance, and commercial teams to align planning strategies with business objectives.
- Support process improvements by identifying opportunities to enhance demand and supply planning efficiency.

About you:
Education/Degree or equivalent
- Bachelor's Degree or combination of college education and related work experience may be used as a substitute.
Background including total years of experience:
- At least 4-6 years of relevant working experience.
- In-depth understanding of forecasting, demand planning, supply planning, and inventory planning.
Soft and Leadership Skills
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills to drive data-informed decisions.
- Rigorous, structured, and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to translate analysis into strategic recommendations and cross-functional alignmen

Technical Skills
- Sensitivity to customers’ and business needs in cosmetics, FMCG, or similar industries.
- A good command of the Supply Chain planning, and stock management processes (sales forecast, needs calculation and planning, stock policy and management)
- Master MSOffice (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Master informatics ERP tools (SAP, M3).
- Knowledge of main mathematical algorithm used in sales forecasts and KPIs.
