CDI - Senior Scientific Communication Project Manager H/F/X

Reporting to the Prospective and Scientific communication director, you will play a key role in the development and promotion of innovative, high-performance, and differentiating skincare and makeup products.

 

You will work closely with the R&D teams to integrate relevant scientific concepts into the marketing strategy and ensure product consistency. You will also be responsible for creating compelling storytelling around scientific discoveries, active concepts, and biological mechanisms, while formulating clear and accessible claims for consumers.

 

Internally, you will help to highlight the company's research expertise by strengthening the innovation culture among teams. Externally, you will collaborate with 360° teams to ensure the visibility of innovations and expertise through impactful visual and semantic content.

 

 

What you’ll do :

 

COORDINATION :

Participation in all stages of development of each new product, in collaboration with the various R&D teams and Marketing, to ensure that the product developed by R&D meets Marketing's expectations : 

  • Participation in drafting the product brief with Marketing
  • Monitoring research programs to be set up with R&D
  • Brainstorming on the selection of active ingredients to be tested with the Active Ingredients department
  • Drafting of claims/table of claims with Marketing
  • Coordination with the evaluation department to define the efficacy testing programs to be set up

 

SCIENTIFIC PRODUCT COMMUNICATION :

For each product launch : 

  • Create storytelling about the plant/molecule/scientific discovery and product performance claims
  • Monitor the REG validation of the most sensitive claims, to guarantee a strong, high-impact message that can be adapted to suit different media and markets
  • Write the scientific dossier explaining the product's innovation and efficacy in an educational and simplified way (mechanism of action, active ingredients in the formula, efficacy test results), and create PPT presentations promoting the innovations internally
  • Support editorial teams in drafting communication materials (press kits, etc.)
  • Participate in the development of communication tools promoting product innovation for the Communication & Digital departments: creation of plant videos, 3D animations, scientific Gifs for social networks

 

COMPETITIVE / SCIENTIFIC WATCH (SUPPLIERS & DIRECT COMPETITORS) :

  • Monitor trends, texture/packaging innovations and scientific concepts by attending trade conferences, B-to-B cosmetics shows and supplier seminars (Lucas Meyer). Feedback of this information at debriefing meetings with R&D and marketing to feed stories and future products
  • Analysis of the competitor claims (performances…)

 

You are :

 

  • A graduate with a minimum of Master’s degree (BAC+5) in science (biology, pharmacy, or equivalent) and have at least 4 to 5 years of experience in scientific communication within the cosmetic industry
  • Sensitive to the regulatory constraints of the industry, and you know how to integrate these aspects into your professional approach
  • Curious and creative, you know how to take initiative and are proactive in the completion of your tasks

 

You have : 

 

  • A strong knowledge of the cosmetic sector, including both ingredients and finished products, as well as a dual competence in science and marketing
  • Excellent listening skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and a talent for pedagogy
  • A capacity for analysis, synthesis, and demonstrate rigor in project management
  • Proficiency in office tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Excellent fluency in English, both spoken and written
