Do you want to help write the next chapter of our story? We are looking for a Trade Marketing Intern based in New York City, NY. The Internship will begin September 2024 and last through the end of the year. Intern will be full-time (minimum 35hrs/week). International students welcome to apply! 

 

The role:

You will provide support for the Trade Marketing Team by analyzing, reviewing, and reporting on all competitive activity for gift sets, events, and promotions. You will also help organize and track retailer & brand promotions/discounts on an ongoing basis.

 

What you’ll do:

In an environment where everything is fast-paced, you will contribute to all of the 5 pillars of the group strategy: people-centric, brand-builder, consumer-obsessed, digitally minded, and committed to responsible beauty. 

 

  • Review and analyze competitive activity in promotions and gift sets - to be presented in team meetings. Share with US executives and international team on an ongoing basis (monthly).
  • Manage updates to key tracking documents for Trade (gift sets, promotions, events) on an on-going basis (ie Marketing Grid tracker documents, Side by Side Promotional Cost of Good Tracker, counter disposables, and monthly basis sampling).
  • Issue Creative Purchasing Requests and manage updates to brief Creative & Production teams on trade projects (ie - gift set cartons, event collateral). 
  • Issue Project Briefs to Warehouse for assemblies of promotions event gifts, and gift sets.
  • During training, the candidate will learn all of the basic marketing skills necessary to promote, build and support the brand via:
    • Providing analysis on the marketplace
    • Participating in meetings, shadowing marketing associates, and participating in store visits
    • Keeping all trackers and paperework updated so we have flawless execution and adhere to deadlines 

 

You are:

  • Detail oriented with strong project management skills
  • Multi-tasker with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, including prioritizing and paying close attention to detail
  • Hands on with the ability to work independently
  • Customer-focused, results-oriented and brand-addicted
  • Genuinely looking forward to new challenges

 

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Digital Communications or related fields 
  • Experience in the beauty, fashion or luxury industry
  • Strong communication and organizational skills 
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Demonstrate strong technical acumen for troubleshooting and problem solving

Salary: $18 per hour
