The role:
At Clarins, we are committed to creating exceptional customer experiences while championing innovation and sustainability. As a Sales & Operations Manager, you will oversee and optimize retail sales performance across stores, customers, and products. It combines analytical responsibilities (tracking trends, KPIs, and insights) with leadership in sales planning, operational improvements, and in-store execution (especially visual merchandising and marketing alignment).
What you’ll do:
Retail & Brand Sales Management and Analysis
- Manage and monitor retail and brand sales matrix, trend and performance analysis of stores, customers and products according to the brand strategies
- Review sales on a regular basis via various perspectives (e.g., by store, customer segment, product category), summarize key findings as insights for management’s decision-making
- Develop actionable reporting that highlights relevant business trends, opportunities for improvement, and drive strategic action plans
- Prepare comprehensive sales reports, understanding sales metrics from different perspectives to support business growth
Sales Planning and Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Take lead in all sales planning activities by collaborating closely with all cross-functional team members (including marketing, VM, operations, and sales teams), and ensure seamless communications among different key stakeholders
- Facilitate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide business and sales insights using business analytic tools to monitor and meet respective business KPIs
- Work closely with VM and marketing team for store display, targeting to draw customers’ attention, build brand awareness, and enhance product attractiveness
Driving Operational Efficiency and Business Insights
- Driving operational efficiency by building up different value-added initiatives
- Proactively identify business opportunities and risks through trend monitoring, and recommend adjustments to support sales momentum and overall performance
What you have:
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree holder in Business Administration, Marketing, or related disciplines
Experience
- 7-8 years of relevant experience, with proven sales record in Beauty Industry, Luxury Retail, or FMCG
- Preferably with experience in retail sales analysis, planning, and cross-functional leadership in a beauty or premium consumer brand environment
Technical
- Proficiency in MS Office including MS Word, Excel, and Chinese word processing
- Strong analytical skills with ability to use business analytic tools for performance tracking and insights generation
Communication & Organisational Skills
- Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
- Effective leadership skills for driving sales initiatives; strong business acumen
- Excellent people management skills and being a good collaborator with strong interpersonal abilities for effective cross-functional teamwork
