Role and Area Of Responsibilities
Visual Merchandising:
- Developing and implement the merchandising plans to drive sales and profitability.
- Collaboration with buyers to select and purchase products that meet customer demand.
- Planning and implementing visual merchandising concepts and guidelines.
- Managing inventory levels and stock replenishment related to capex to meet customer demand.
- Working with vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and executions.
- Training and supervising local merchandising staff and Travel Retail Beauty Coaches to ensure compliance with brand standards.
- Monitoring and reporting on the performance of merchandising initiatives.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in merchandising. Collecting relevant information from the markets when required and sharing with Global TR.
- Conduct market visit across major market
- Oversee the project, planning, and execution of Retail, counters, window displays, in-store displays, and animation installations / exposure.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and regulation requirement based on malls policies and Civil Aviation/Retailer guidelines in Travel Retail.
- Adaptation and distribution of in store visual merchandising guidelines.
- Forecasting all necessary POSM/POP for new and existing permanent POS, promotional sites, and events. Local POP development.
- Supporting TR Director and providing all necessary VM-related information during Budget periods. Prepare POP budget.
- Creating planograms for Travel Retail and sharing with relevant POS. Providing Customers and BCs with merch guidelines for each launch.
- Updating Visuals in POS as per VM plan.
Design and Construction of CAPEX / Permanent fixtures:
- Approves Commercial manager’s Project Request Form before submitted to Paris (Commercial manager submits to Paris) and leads the entire CAPEX process for Travel Retail.
- Advises on Phase 1 Drawing received from Paris (before sent to retailers).
- Co-ordinates quotation processes with local contractors. Requesting a minimum of 3 quotes per projects.
- Negotiates with contractors prioritising costs optimisation and adheres to pre-approved budget plans.
- Evaluating and onboarding new potential suppliers.
- LPO: raises all VM related LPOs in the system; supplies LPO to appointed contractor.
- Reviews detailed drawings from contractor before
they are validated bysharing with Paris. - In general, oversees the production, conducts regular inspections, installation and merchandising of main counter for local doors, across markets. Obtains necessary approvals and airport passes from retailers and departments of Civil Aviation.
- In case of smaller projects, adapts existing designs to cover new needs (in a first stage, to be fine-tunes according to work load).
- Participates to Monthly Merchandising meetings and shares important information with the local teams.
CSR :
Follow brand CSR strategy, track all local POP production, provide monthly CSR report (as per approved reporting format).
Candidate Profile:
- Education/Degree:
B.S. Architecture
- Background including total years of experience
5+ years of experience in a similar role
- Technical skills:
Freehand sketching/render, CAD(drafting and design) 3d render (sketchup), Multimedia applications (Photoshop, illustrator, Premiere), MS office applications, Displayer application and architectural design.
- Soft and Leadership Skills:
Adaptability, team player, self-aware, result oriented, listening skills, pro-active, negotiation, optimistic, synergetic, written and oral communication skills, oral presentation, resourceful, critical thinking, creativity, problem solving and decision making.
- Skilled in planning, managing budgets, timelines, and external teams (contractors)
- Frequent Travel in GC MENA region require
