About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Sr Accountant to support our accounting and finance team on a project (10-12 months). This role is ideal for someone experienced in high-volume invoice processing, supplier reconciliation, and payment coordination within a fast-paced, multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities

Invoice Processing & Administration

  • Prepare and manage Pre-Accounting Worksheets (PAWs) for supplier invoices and debit notes
  • Review invoices for accuracy and compliance with internal policies
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve discrepancies
  • Ensure proper classification of LPOs and approval workflows
  • Handle a high volume of invoices (approx. 140+ PAWs/month)

Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Record and book supplier invoices, salaries, commissions, allowances, and internal requests
  • Ensure correct allocation to expense accounts and sub-ledgers
  • Process and reconcile:
    • Petty cash (multiple entities)
    • Credit card statements
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial records (approx. 250 invoices/month)

Supplier Reconciliation

  • Reconcile Supplier Statements of Account (SOA) monthly
  • Follow up on missing invoices and resolve discrepancies
  • Coordinate directly with suppliers on disputes and clarifications
  • Support accruals by tracking outstanding invoices
  • Manage 30–40 supplier reconciliations monthly

Payments

  • Prepare complete payment documentation (PAWs, invoices, LPOs, summaries)
  • Support monthly and urgent payment cycles
  • Respond to supplier payment queries
  • Apply payments in the system and maintain accurate records

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CMA is a plus)
  • 3–5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or similar role
  • Experience in multinational companies (Retail / FMCG / Cosmetics is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS
  • Hands-on experience with JDE (JD Edwards)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Fluent in English (Arabic or French is a plus)
