The role:

Assisting in the management of the inward stock process of our flagship Premium Outlet in Bicester Village, the position of Stock Movement Assistant will work closely with the store management, central supply and distribution teams ensuring the seamless flow of stock to meet the needs of the business.

The Stock Movement Assistant contributes significantly to the operational efficiency, customer satisfaction and overall success of our flagship Bicester Village Premium Outlet.

 

What you’ll do:

Receiving and Inspecting Stock Deliveries

  • Check incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality.
  • Ensure all items are accurately priced and in good condition.
  • Collaborate with the Retail Operations Executive to address any discrepancies or damages.
  • Work closely with the instore management team to place and accurately forecast stock intake plans.

Stock Organisation

  • Unload stock deliveries in a timely manner to enhance stock availability and prevent backlog.
  • Sort and categorise items based on category, shelf life or any other relevant criteria.
  • Safely handle fragile or delicate items to prevent damage.

Back of House Organisation & Maintenance

  • Implement a systematic storage system to maximise efficiency and accessibility
  • Conduct regular inventory checks to track stock levels and identify low-stock items in collaboration with the store management team.
  • Maintain a clean and organized back of house are to comply fully with Health & Safety policies

Record Keeping and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate and up to date records of stock movements within CEGID Y2 including inward and outward stock movements.
  • Utilise CEGID Y2 to track stock levels, utilizing insights with the store management team to pipeline future ordering strategies to drive operational efficiencies.

Assist In Stock Replenishment

  • Monitor stock levels on the sales floor and communicate with sales team for restocking needs and plans.
  • Co-ordinate with the Retail Operations Executive to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained both on sellable and free of charge consumable items.
  • Participating in periodic stock takes to reconcile physical inventory with stock file records.

Customer Demand Fulfillment

  • Work closely with the in-store sales team to fulfill customer demand by ensuring optimal levels of stock availability at all times.
  • Feedback any customer demand trend patterns to the Retail Operations Executive and the in-store management team
  • to assist in driving procurement which meets the changing needs of the consumer.

Stock Rotation & Expiry Date Monitoring

  • Implement a first-in, first-out (FIFO) system to prevent stock wastage with expired products.
  • Conduct regular checks on expiry dates in collaboration with the Retail Operations Executive, proactively rotating stock
  • and minimizing losses.
  • Alert store management to any soon to expired items for timely action.

Adhere To Health & Safety Policies and Guidelines

  • Follow correct Manual Handling guidelines to prevent injuries
  • Report any health and safety hazards or incidents to the instore management team for immediate resolution.

 

You are:

  • A confident communicator at all levels
  • Organised and able to cope well under pressure
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft office applications
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills

 

You have:

  • Relevant stock or similar experience within a large scale retail environment
  • Ability to be flexible and work shifts including weekends and evening
  • Strong attention to detail
  • CEGID Y2 EPOS experience is advantageous, but not required
